Leyland National

From the birth of the Leyland National- Northern had a long and interesting relationship with these fine buses. The MK2 Nationals in the fleet got upgraded in the 90's to Diptac spec and had new Volvo engines fitted. They have been allocated to many depots and even Percy Main and South Shields gained them. Some retained pods and one was even fitted with a Cummins engine! There was even DP seated examples for the Wear Express routes! They could be found in many places across the Go-North East route network a true workhorse.
